The number of blog posts in 2014 was super low but it was one busy year!
Some important events:
- April 12th, 2014: Chase was born!
- May 30th, 2014: I got my Ph.D.!
- July 12th, 2014: Chase was baptised!
- August 14th, 2014: We left Cambridge!
- September 7th, 2014: We arrived in Switzerland!
- October 1st, 2014: I started my post-doc!
Unlike last year, our traveling was a bit limited, but we did move to a new continent, so I guess that counts. The traveling that we did do includes:
- May 18th - 20th: Connecticut (Hartford)
- May 30th - 31st: Rhode Island (Newport)
- July 4th - July 13th: Nebraska (Omaha)
- July 19th - 20th: New York (NYC)
- August 14th - September 3rd: California (San Diego)
- September 7th --> Moved from Massachusetts to Switzerland
- September 9th - September 15th: France (outskirts of Geneva)
- December 21st - December 30th: Spain (Malaga, Seville, Granada, Madrid) and Morocco (Tangier)
In his 8.5 months, little Chase has now been to 3 continents (North America, Europe, Africa), 5 countries (USA, Switzerland, France, Spain, Morocco), and 6 states (MA, CT, RI, NY, NE, CA). As a fetus, he had been to two continents (North America, Europe), 6 countries (USA, Ukraine, Russia, Italy, Mexico x 2, Switzerland), and 5 states (MA, TX, NE, CA, FL). Together that makes 3 continents, 9 countries, and 8 states. Such a ridiculously well-traveled little baby.
For crafts, there were a bunch of Chase related things: fixing my winter coat, announcement cards, random improvements, and my crazy recording of Chase data.
In terms of home improvements: we fixed our TV, organised our whole apartment, and got a new washer and dryer.
If you would like to see many Chase pictures, don't forget to follow my Instagram. Everything is mirrored on my Twitter and both are on the top of the blog homepage in case you forget. I will leave you with a picture collage from 2014 (made mostly of Instagram pictures):
